Memorial Day
A Memorial Day Tribute From Neal
Monday -- May 30, 2005
Today is Memorial Day. This is the day we honor and remember the men and women who have given their lives in service to this country - and to us - in our armed forces. Denigrating our military and those who died seems to be getting popular of late. We have Bill Maher referring to our soldiers as "low hanging fruit." We have Ted Rall telling us that those killed in action deserved just what they got. There's a growing number of people in our country who seem to feel that freedom is just fine ... just fine so long as not one single drop of bloood has to be shed either securing or defending it. Today, then, it is more important than ever to remember that freedom isn't free, and to honor those who sacrificed so that we might enjoy this holiday.

Bill Maher and Ted Rall are worthless scumbags who should be drug into the street and shot for treason. I'd like to see either one of them survive one day of military training. They would fail miserably and Maher would whine about it on his horrible HBO TV show that about 12 people see every week.
I just love the hypocrisy of it all. They love their freedoms. They'll stand on the highest mountain shouting, "First Amendment, First Amendment." Yet when it comes to other countries getting the same freedoms they have, Whoa, can't do that.
