Trouble Down South

Oliver North writes about the trouble brewing in Latin America. Castro's buddy and self appointed president of Venezuela Hugo Chavez is trying to force his socialist anti-American views on the entire continent. Chavez clearly stole the election in 1998, don't tell Jimmy Carter, and has now outlawed his opposition, restricted free speech and the press, and purchased Russian fighters, helicopter gunships, and 100,000 AK-47's. He is also talking to Iran and China about acquiring more weapons. Combine this, the violent gangs that originate from the region, and our porous southern border and we've got a recipe for disaster.
